Comparison

Sweepa vs CourtReserve

CourtReserve is a court-booking platform, largely for racquet clubs, and it books courts well. Sweepa is for venues where court hire is one line of the P&L rather than all of it.

Written by the people who build Sweepa. Everything below about CourtReserve is what their public site said on 26 August 2026 — check it yourself, and tell us if we have it wrong. We do not quote their prices, because prices change and ours is the only one we can promise.

What Sweepa does

One system, from the booking to the payout

Courts, and the rest of the business

Casual hire and recurring blocks, plus coaching terms, holiday camps, in-house leagues, parties and open games — sharing one calendar so a camp cannot double-book a court a member has already paid for.

Competitions, properly

Seasons, fixtures, ladders and finals with team fees and captain-pays-then-squad-pays splits. Not a note in a booking.

Coaches as first-class

A public coach directory, per-coach availability, and private lessons that hold the court and the coach — the database refuses to double-book either.

It knows what a court is called

Court, field, or neither — the copy on your public site uses your venue’s own word, because a hockey club does not have courts.

Australian by default

AUD, Australian timezones, Australian state activity vouchers, and Stripe into an Australian bank account.

One price, no per-transaction markup

A monthly platform fee. Stripe’s own processing fee is Stripe’s, and we do not add to it.

Straight answer

What Sweepa doesn’t do yet

If one of these is how you run your venue, you should know before you switch, not after.

Knockout tournaments

Sweepa runs leagues and seasons with ladders, fixtures and finals. A standalone knockout or round-robin tournament — a one-weekend cup with its own bracket — is not a format yet. Teams, fees and scheduling all work; the bracket is the missing piece.

Automatic Google review requests

Sweepa emails and texts your customers about their bookings. It does not chase them for a Google review after they play. You can send that yourself from a broadcast; it is not automated.

Posting to your social accounts

Sweepa writes the caption and builds the graphic from your own programs. Scheduling it straight to Instagram or Facebook is waiting on Meta’s app review — until that is approved, you copy the post across. We would rather say that than imply it publishes today.

A public player marketplace

The transfer market connects players and teams across venues on Sweepa. It is not a public listings site, and it does not bring in players from outside the network. It is real demand, from a real network, and it is not the whole internet.

Anything but Australian dollars

Sweepa bills in AUD and your customers pay in AUD. Timezone, currency and locale are AU-first today. If you are outside Australia, talk to us first — the platform runs, but this is the sharp edge.

Doing your migration for you

On Academy and Squad you export a spreadsheet and Sweepa imports your people and your upcoming schedule. It does not bring across invoices, balances or payment history — those stay in your old system until they are settled. Club plans get hands-on help.

Switching

Moving off CourtReserve

1

Export your members and reservations

Member Directory → Export, and Reservations → Reports with the range set from today forwards.

2

Import into Sweepa

Clients first, then upcoming reservations. Nothing is emailed to your members and nothing is charged.

3

Set up what CourtReserve did not have

Your competitions, coaching terms and camps have no equivalent to import — they get set up fresh, which is a first-week job, not a migration.

4

Point your domain and go live
